Product data for AI shopping: what ChatGPT needs to recommend you
When an assistant compares products it needs facts it can trust: what the product is, what it costs, in what currency, and whether it's in stock. schema.org Product markup states them in a form machines read without guessing.
The fields that matter most
- name
- offers.price and offers.priceCurrency (ISO code such as ZAR or USD)
- offers.availability (InStock, OutOfStock, PreOrder…)
- image, brand, sku, and if you have them, reviews and return policy
