How accurate is the check?
We publish how often we’re wrong. Every month we draw 20 shops checked that month, half from visitors’ checks where there are enough and the rest from our research. We check each one again and keep the raw evidence: the robots.txt file and the product data on the product page. A person reads that evidence and marks our answer correct or wrong.
October 2026
2 of 2 reviewed checks were correct (100%). 17 of the 19 sampled are still being reviewed.
What the review covers
- Whether robots.txt really allows or blocks each AI search and answer agent as we said (the file is public, so this part is exact).
- Whether the product page we checked is a product page, and whether its product data really has, or lacks, the details we listed.
- Not covered: whether a server or firewall turns AI agents away. We test that from our own address, not the agents’, so it’s an indication (see our limits).
When a review finds a mistake, we fix the rule, re-check the shops it affected and note it here. How the check works.
