Khanyo is an independent checker that reads online shops the way AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity do, and tells shop owners what keeps them out of AI answers. We publish what we find across all the shops we check.
The figures (live, updated hourly)
28% of online shops don't give AI shopping assistants a price and stock they can read.
- Shops checked: 2,159 since October 2026, each counted once.
- Of the 2,090 shops whose product page we could check, 28% don’t state price and stock in a form AI shopping tools read, and 22% have no product data at all.
- 1% block at least one AI search or answer assistant in robots.txt, and 2% can’t be seen by the main assistants at all.
- On Shopify (748 shops checked), 10% miss price or stock in their product data.
Shops come from public rankings and the Common Crawl index, checked politely as Khanyo-Research (robots.txt obeyed). Breakdowns by region and platform are on the research report. How often we’re wrong: accuracy. Method: how it works.
Use and credit
